Buckley House, Linlithgow
Highly Glazed Garden Room Extension

A disused Summer house was the inspiration for this Garden Room extension to a detached house in Linlithgow. The extension maximises light in and views out through the incorporation of large glazed sliding doorsets with slim aluminium profiles and a pyramid skylight. The simple material palette includes Siberian Larch weatherboards, which were coated with UV protection oil to allow the strength of colour to remain through the seasons.

Solar panels are incorporated to help heat the house's hot water supply, and the works also include dormer extensions to the front and rear of the house to maximise the use of internal areas.
