Fit-out of Retail Unit to create Dental Surgery
 

An empty portal-framed retail unit in Bathgate's Retail Park provided an opportunity for this fit-out to create a state-of-the-art Dental Practice complete with five air-conditioned Consulting Rooms, a Local Decontamination Unit, an audio-visual Training/Conference Suite and a dramatic double-height Reception Atrium which utilises glazed internal partitions to increase visibility and maximise the spread of light throughout the building.

A sustainable approach was taken to include air-source heat pumps and heat-recovery ventilation.

EKJN took on the role of interior designer, M&E designer and CDM Co-ordinator, giving the client a comprehensive design service that shines through in the finished building.

This project is one of many dental practices designed by EKJN in recent years including practices in Dalgety Bay, Linlithgow, Whitburn, Wester Hailes and Falkirk.

Blue Sky Dental Practice was awarded 'Best New Practice' at the Scottish Dental Awards in 2012.
