Wester Inch Housing, Bathgate
New Development of 80 Houses on Brownfield Land
The closure of the British Leyland Factory outside Bathgate in 1986 left a large area of brownfield land in need of redevelopment. The Wester Inch Village has been created to meet the demands for housing as part of West Lothian Council's code development area.
EKJN were commissioned to design 80 houses on one of the parcels of land for West Lothian Council. The proposal included a mix of semi-detached houses of various sizes, with a drainage pond, landscaped open space, roads and car parks.
